LAW ENFORCEMENT/FIRST RESPONDER COUNSELING

Boots

Today’s first responders are under a great deal of stress and often suffer from effects of trauma and stress. Counseling for first responders, law enforcement, and military personnel can help address symptoms of depression, PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, substance use, and more. Allowing yourself the opportunity to take part in counseling promotes healing and enhances psychological strength.

Common reasons first responders and military personnel come to counseling:

How do we help first responders and military personnel address trauma?

Trauma is real, and so is treatment. There are several effective therapeutic methods for treating trauma. We strive to remove the stigma surrounding getting help for our first responders and military personnel, as many often feel they need to be superheroes. The concern of job security is also a mounting stressor, as some feel if they advocate for their mental health their employment will be at risk. However, the only real way to manage stressors or the job and trauma is to treat it.

Trauma is a human experience. It is a reason to seek help, not a reason to remain silent.  Speaking up and finding effective therapy options for yourself or your loved one is a first step! We are proud to work with police officers and soldiers to help them receive the best civilian mental health treatment available. We are HIPAA compliant and all calls or messages inquiring about services with Kyle are confidential.
