For individuals who are transgender, gender non-binary, or gender queer we provide therapy to address transitional/affirmation needs including those seeking hormone affirming therapy (HAT), gender affirmation surgery (GAS), connections to other LGBTQ2S+ and affirming providers along our western slope community. We also strive to work together with any additional family, friends, or support networks you would like included to fully address any and all mental health needs.

One of our many specialities is in working with the LGBTQ2S+ community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Non-binary, Queer/Questioning, Two-Spirit +). Many people of the LGBTQ2S+ community experience discrimination, stereotyping, and feelings of isolation on top of mental health issues. This in turn makes it harder for individuals to find appropriate care. At Identity Insights in Grand Junction Colorado, we celebrate what makes you unique and different, and embrace the idea of non-comformity! ​​

 

​We offer a safe and affirming environment to all members of the LGBTQ2S+, Allied, and BIPOC (black, indigenous, and people of color) community. Our job is to get you moving forward in your medical affirmation, to help you deal with mental health struggles related to transitioning or sexual orientation, or to discuss problems occurring in your romantic or personal relationships. The road to becoming and embracing you can be a tough one! Reaching the next steps in your medical affirmation shouldn't be. If you are in need of a letter of support for hormone affirmation therapy or gender affirmation surgery, our clinicians can assist you with hassle free and limited session time. Our goal is to end gatekeeping around your affirmation by following affirming practices of WPATH (World Professional Association of Transgender Health) and our pledge on GALAP (Gender Affirming Letter Access Project).
