You can show up messy here
You do not have to know exactly what is happening, what needs to change, or where to start. My role
is to help you make sense of what you are experiencing, notice the patterns getting in the way, and
identify what may help in the life you are living now.
My style is warm, curious, engaging, and direct. I want to know you as a whole person - not just the symptoms that brought you to therapy. The ways you have learned to survive, adapt, and keep going have been shaped by your history, relationships, identity, strengths, environment, and experiences. I am here to help you make sense of those connections - not to keep you stuck in the past, but to understand what is happening now and what you want to change.
I am person-centered and active in the work. I listen closely, ask questions, use humor when it fits, and help connect the dots. I use psychoeducation, practical strategies, and solution-focused work when useful. Some sessions are reflective; others are more practical. We follow what you need. Sometimes we need to understand where something came from. Sometimes we need to figure out how you are going to get through Tuesday. Both can matter.
I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, substance use and recovery, suicidal thoughts, grief, identity exploration, gender-related support, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I have extensive experience providing LGBTQ2S+ and gender-affirming care and believe therapy should be a space where you do not have to justify who you are before we focus on what brought you here.
Depending on what fits you, my work may include EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), ACT, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and other evidence-based approaches. I am also CAMS trained and experienced in working with suicidal thoughts and higher-acuity concerns. I believe therapy can help you better understand yourself, make meaningful changes, and move through your life with greater clarity and trust in yourself. If you are wondering whether we might be a good fit, you are welcome to reach out and start with a conversation.
You matter.
