MY STORY
I am very thankful to be working with Devin and the Identity team! I've worked all around Grand Junction and Western Colorado as a counselor and feel absolutely blessed to have learned so much from each and every one of my clients. I am LGBTQ2S+ and trans-affirming. I am a competent trans-affirming therapist and can provide letters of recommendation for those seeking HRT or different gender confirmation surgeries. I also work with couples on intimacy counseling, and I am also the go-to counselor for law enforcement, first responders, and military personnel.
I do not believe that anyone is deserving of cookie cutter treatment. You are a unique individual, and you deserve a unique approach to counseling. For law enforcement, first responders, and military personnel trauma is real. Witnessing violent crimes, going in to dangerous situations, experiencing disasters, and working with traumatized victims can weigh heavy on you and your loved ones. As a combat veteran of the US Army myself, I have experience in working with those on the front lines and understand the unique issues that individuals in those fields face each day.
My Education:
I received my BA from Colorado Mesa University, and my MA from Adams State University. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I tend to take a bit from reality therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, existential therapy, Jungian therapy, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing.
