Telehealth or Combination Telehealth/In Office Clinician

 

Identity Insights, LLC is a growing and thriving mental health, gender/transgender-affirming private practice in Grand Junction Colorado. Our mental health clinicians provide clinical services for our clients on the Western Slope and across Colorado via teletherapy and in person appointments. 

 

Our Mission: We strive to serve the underrepresented minority communities in Colorado with a particular focus on LGBTQIA+ and intimacy issues. We also provide letters of referral for hormone replacement therapy and gender confirmation surgeries on the western slope, across state, and occasionally across the country. We are GALAP (Gender Affirming Letter Access Project) affirming, and our clinicians approach diverse gender therapy from a privilege aware standpoint.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Currently we are seeking a a pre-licensed clinician for independent contracting to service our Medicaid and private pay clients on a part-time or full time basis. NOTE: We are not accepting Licensed Clinicians at this time.

  • A therapist/counselor interested in working with diverse populations, and who has an interest in areas of social justice.

  • An individual who is excited to join a growing and strong clinical team!

Compensation:

  • Competitive and based on experience. Hourly rates ranging from ~$46.75-$78.00 per hour. Work hours are flexible and based on your desired caseload.

  • Clinical assessment possibilities with flat pay rates between $420-630 for limited time commitment and flexible scheduling with clients on western slope. For additional details please inquire upon applying or upon interview if extended.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university.

  • Must hold pre-licensure in the state of Colorado or be licensed eligible immediately in the state of Colorado

  • Must have training or be willing to complete Telehealth CEU upon hire.

  • Supervision is extended for no additional fees upon joining our team for both social workers and professional counselors. Candidates are also welcome to retain any current/existing supervisors outside of the company if preferred.

Professional Experience Required:

  • Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.

  • Have experience or willing to learn upon hire how to provide letters of referral for hormone replacement therapy and gender confirmation surgeries for our diverse gender population served.

  • Must be competent or willing to learn in topic areas of minority issues including but not limited too: working with POC (people of color), LGBTQIA+, kink/BDSM, and diverse gender clientele.

  • Excellent writing skill

Licenses/Certifications For Mental Health Professional:

  • MSW/LSW or similar post license preferred at this time.

  • LPCC or similar pre licensure in the state of CO.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical and consultation services in accordance with The Company’s policies and procedures, and in accordance with the ethics and standards of relevant professional organizations.

  • Conduct intakes in office or virtually

  • Maintain the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with The Company policy and procedure and state law.

  • Maintain timely records in electronic medical record keeping system, scheduling clients in timely fashion, possible coordination with external medical or mental health facilities on behalf of the client, maintaining communication with clients if necessary via office cell phone or encrypted email throughout the duration of services at The Company.

  • Commence individual, family, couples, and/or group psychotherapy/counseling for clients with the goals of reducing client identified problems, and fostering effective psychological functioning.

  • Must have knowledge and management of crisis interventions. Crisis interventions may require consultation with licensed staff at The Company, local psychiatric staff regarding management/treatment concerns, and/or alternative referrals including triaging clients with local or state crisis centers.

  • Reports are to be completed in a timely, professional manner (approximately within a 30 day period).

  • Contractor will be provided weekly supervision in accordance with obtaining full license in the state of Colorado.

  • Compliance with therapist contractor standards of The Company. Compliance includes, but is not limited to the maintenance of a professional working environment and personal appearance consistent with professional responsibilities. No specific dress code is endorsed based on gender roles or stereotypes. We leave your attire to your preference but maintain ability to reprimand or administer corrective action for any provocative, political, or intimately suggestive attire.

  • Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.

  • Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions.
