About the event

Looking to learn new skills to hone in mindfulness practices and regulate your emotions? Join our 10 week online Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) group. Whether you have completed individual therapy or are new to it altogether, goup time is an opportunity to give all members the chance to learn and work on using new skills in a safe setting with others and your therapists.  We are excited to offer the skilled facilitation of our clinicians Troy Griffin, MA, PCC, LPC (he/him) and Carole Feist, MA, LMHC-A, LPCC (she/her) to guide you through this 10 week journey. Note: A commitment to the entire 10 week process is required to attend. Drop in attendance (appointments here and there or only specific week attendance) is not offered. 

Curriculum to expect each week. Sessions 1.5 hours each: 

Week 1: Introduction to the group, an overview of DBT, and the foundations of mindfulness

Week 2: Mindfulness skills

Week 3: Distress tolerance skills (crisis or immediate moment skills)

Week 4: Distress tolerance skills (longer-term skills)

Week 5: Emotion regulation (understanding emotions)

Week 6: Emotion regulation (skills to help reduce vulnerability to fluctuations of emotions and set yourself up for success)

Week 7: Emotion regulation (skills to problem solve, break patterns, and manage intense emotions)

Week 8: Interpersonal skills (communication skills)

Week 9: Interpersonal skills (skills for honoring yourself in interpersonal relationships/interactions)

Week 10: Review and wrap up (going over skills learned, plan for the future)

Insurances accepted (plan eligibility may vary. Participants must register for insurance eligibility review)

Out of pocket cost: $300 total or $30/week
